Wow. The first thing Aislinn & I both noticed is how the bodice even fits the dress dummy better now! And that skirt is flat as a pancake. And Aislinn says the crown is so “prettiful” (even if she does have to wear that stupid full wig)…. I especially like the crocus & daffodil background.
Thanks a million from both of us!

How do you do your crowns? What grabs the head? combs? commercial headband?

I just made a crown for dd and she wore it twice before the hot-glued combs broke off in the bag enroute to a performance. Luckily, I carry just about everything in the bag so I pinned a safety pin along the bottom of the crown, then bobby-pinned that in place. It worked. But now I wonder what to do attach the darn thing (am making a new one anyhow). Someone suggested the hot glue, but obviously mine didn’t work.

I have found the best way to anchor crowns is to put loops of fabric that you can catch with bobby pins — get the loop edged ribbons, sew them to the back/bottom of the crown.
